Breaking Habits (Try’n To)

Standard

This morning I thought it would be nice if there is a browser extension that helps me to break the habit to go shopping at Amazon without even considering that there might be other alternatives (i.e. Otto in Germany), which do have a substantial market share and competitive pricing, etc.

First I thought of writing my own extension for the few typical sites I visit due to my laziness and muscle memory, but luckily I searched the Internet first.

Currently the Go European initiative gains attention due to … well…..obvious reasons, you know. The best thing to me: They do have browser extensions for Firefox and Chrome that display a pop-up if you visit a non-european website and show you a list of european alternatives. Exactly what I’ve been looking for.

That being said, does not mean I am totally against using non-EU services, buying non-EU products or whatsoever if you feel like they give you better value, quality, price or whatever you personal preference or priority is. To me it’s just about get triggered to think twice before supporting Trump’s Tech Bro’s just because it became a habit over the past two decades.
